Gender disparity within the financial sector is still an issue on a global scale, with women holding approximately 21% of board seats, 19% of c-suite roles, and only 5% of CEO positions as of last year. A lack of diversity within finance teams not only prevents overall business success, but also demonstrates an increased business risk with regard to financial crime.

We are hosting an in-person networking event in Manchester on 23rd November, in collaboration with the International Compliance Association, exploring the diversity issue in Financial Crime prevention and looking at varying experiences in reaching leadership.

Women supported by SmartWorks are often referred from Job Centres, mental health charities, women's refuges, homeless shelters, the prison service, care service and youth organisations. The support that SmartWorks provides enables women to make a fundamental difference in these women's lives, offering interview styling and preparation, and coaching services, unlocking their potential, and enabling them to succeed at interview.
