Webinar: How to Transition From Being an Engineer to an Engineering Manager

On 29th July, our co-founder Hayley Killengrey, and ambassador Yessenia Martinez (She/Her) hosted our most recent webinar, ‘How to Transition From Being an Engineer to an Engineering Manager.’ We discussed a plethora of topics, from understanding important priorities and responsibilities of an Engineering Manager to challenges, opportunities and facing the realities of the role.

The importance of continuous learning was a prevalent theme discussed throughout the evening. Lisa Shissler Smith advised our panel to nurture peer relationships with other managers and become part of any existing networks to support knowledge-sharing and upskilling. Stella Camacho added that feedback is a critical way to improving your learning. It is worth being mindful that while one will never be perfect in a role, striving to progress is imperative.

We would like to thank our fabulous panel for their insights, as well as our wonderful platinum sponsor JFrog!Help us help you understand your experience of the webinar by answering our feedback form.
