On 24thJune our Trinnovo Talks community came together to hold an in-person event in Dublin, ‘Authenticity at Work – A Pride Networking Event’, hosted by our LGBTQIA+ Employee Engagement Group.
This event was hosted by Dogpatch Labs and collaborated with our Charity Partner, Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI). In the run-up to the event We worked with TENI to raise funds to help support and advocate for the transgender community in Ireland.
During the discussion, we were joined by:
Natasha Mallison, Co-Host at Trinnovo Group,
Leona Reilly, Co-Host at Trinnovo Group
Brandon Hatton, Moderator and Co-Host at Trinnovo Group
Lilith Ferreyra-Carroll, Community Development Officer at TENI
Sara R Phillips, Chair at TENI
Aisling Conlon, Communications Manager at Dogpatch Labs
We explored unconscious bias and misconceptions surrounding different gender and sexual identities. Highlighting the importance of recognising, acknowledging, and using the correct pronouns and name(s). Our panel discussed their personal experiences with bias and how businesses and individuals can do more to support, be proactive and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.
We would like to extend our thanks once more to our inspiring panel for their insights, our attendees for joining the discussion in Dublin as well as our amazing hosts, Natasha, Leona and Brandon!
Please feel free to leave us feedback via our short feedback form for future events!
