As we approach this month, I wanted to highlight the significance of this month and how best to provide an inclusive environment. 🤲
Why do we fast? It's one of Islam's Five Pillars, mandatory for all Muslims. 🌙💫
During Ramadan, Muslims will observe fasting from dawn until sunset- this goes beyond food and drink, this is a time for spiritual reflection, discipline and acts of charity.
How can we offer a more inclusive environment?
Be open to learning more about Ramadan- engage in conversations and learn about their experiences! Saying ‘Ramadan Mubarak!’ (Happy Ramadan) to your Muslim Colleagues will mean a lot 🌟
Be mindful of fasting hours and praying times- understanding there is a change in routine which can affect energy and productivity levels.
Be open to flexibility during this period! 🕌

Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha= 5 prayers
Suhoor/ (Time before Fajr)= pre-dawn meal time
Iftaar= time to open fast
